this one goes out to the fellow moms..

OK fellow madres... I sit here typing one-handed, holding Miss Addie in the other for her 678723468975th meal today (barely an exaggeration).

Anyone experience a 3-week growth spurt (or around there) with your bundle of joy?  Where the bundle becomes less joyful and more screaming barracuda?  I've googled it and it seems to be real.  But I'd love any advice (or empathy) you can share!  Like, what did it look like?  How long did it last?  What was baby's disposition during it?  What was your disposition? (haha) Tips for keeping up in the milk department? (hire 5 cows?)

Thanks for any and all input!!

  1. right around three weeks i just nailed my butt to the couch and resigned myself to nursing nonstop for the rest of my life.
babies have different growth spurts at different times. i think david had a 14-week growth spurt.
and sometimes i think david's having a growth spurt and he's just having a fussy spurt :)
my best advice is that EVERYTHING is a phase. EVERYTHING. be thankful that your baby's eating well. it's better than the alternative.
and if addie needs the milk, your body will provide it.
just yesterday tom said, "remember when nursing was so hard!?"
and, yes, i do. it's a breeze now!
