The first shower was so fun - a Sunday afternoon with great friends and family,
Isn't my mom so cute? |
delicious food and dessert,
and lots of beautiful gifts for little Addison!
It was really special for me to have so many different women from different areas of my life all in the same room.
One crazy thing about being pregnant right now is that there are SO MANY other girls with a baby on board these days - at one point I could literally count double digits. In fact, every day I'm just waiting for the next friend to call and add her name to the list. Who knows? Maybe there were others at the shower who are also expecting, but here are the three of us who were officially "out" at the time:
Andrea at 39 weeks (baby Piper has since been born!), me at 32 weeks, and Mary at 15 weeks. |
The second shower was held at Danny's work. I think he was a little unsure what what to expect (granted, it was his first baby shower ever!), and many of his coworkers are men, but it turned out to be SO fun and funny, and we were blown away by their generosity. Reyna did an awesome job planning everything, and I think everyone had a great time. (side note: I was honestly expecting 15 different Hokie onesies but actually didn't get a single one!) Sadly in the chaos of moving and life, I didn't grab my camera to bring and so I got no photos to document the event. :(
To all of you who helped, contributed, and attended our showers, THANK YOU! We honestly would not make it without your generosity and support. And Addie would certainly have way fewer cute clothes!
