My Make it Monday.

My real life from college and now blog friend Ashley does a post every Monday where she tries to actually make something she's pinned from Pinterest.  Great idea, so I'm joining the fun.

Ashley, I wish I could link up, but since I don't know how or if I can to your post, I'll just copy/paste your button.  

For Elissa's shower, I made this little bad-boy for the food table. It now is hanging right over baby Madison's crib-to-be!

I got the idea from Pinterest, but it originally came from an Etsy site.  I hesitate to show the original since it's way way much much a zillion times prettier than my version.  Sorry, Elissa.  Now forget you ever saw this.

I think I could probably get closer to this design of the M, but whatevs.  Maybe I'll try again and have her change it out.  

Here's the breakdown:

1 raw wood frame from Dollar Tree, painted white

Scrap of linen curtain, cut to fit

Pink buttons

Arrange the buttons into your letter, and hot glue gun in place.  C'mon, anyone can do that!  

Did I mention the original costs SIXTY BONES on Etsy?!  No, not kidding.  That doesn't even include the frame.  I think my total was something like $3.50.  Maybe $3.60 if you count the glue stick.  

Not as pretty?  Check.  

But still cute and personal and totally wallet friendly?  Double check.
